Making Jelly Belly beans is a very extensive process that is carried out by master candy makers that use age-old techniques and modern methods. It can take between seven to 14 days to make a Jelly Belly bean!. Besides the Extreme Sport Beans and Dr. Pepper Jelly Belly beans there is no caffeine added in any of the different flavors. There are roughly 25 beans per oz, each of our 1 pound bags include about 400 Jelly Belly beans. Very Cherry remained the most popular flavor of Jelly Belly beans for two decades until 1998, when Buttered Popcorn moved into first place. In 2003 Very Cherry moved back into top position by a mere 8 million beans. Enough Jelly Belly beans were eaten in the last year to circle the earth more than five times.

How to Store Jelly Belly Beans

Jelly Belly Candy should be stored in a dry, cool place that is below 75 degrees Fahrenheit, away from direct sunlight. Storing them in an airtight container will help preserve the quality for a few months. Placing them in a closed pantry that is not hot and humid is also an option.
