Making vegan pad thai is simple. It requires a good amount of pantry ingredients with some fresh veggies. Once you get the right ingredients and follow our simple procedure, you will make the best vegan pad thai. The essential ingredients you need are:

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 
  • 1 carrot, shredded (84 grams) 
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (36 grams) (You can crush these
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (16 grams) 
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (13 grams) 
  • 4 ounces rice noodles (or noodles of choice) 
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (39 grams) 
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (19 grams)
  • 3 tablespoons tamari (47 grams; ensure the soy sauce has no gluten)
  • 1 pound green cabbage, shredded 
  • 3 green onions, chopped (30 grams) 

Instructions Vegan Pad Thai

Pour enough water into a large pot, and allow the water to boil. Next, add the noodles to the pot and prepare them according to the right package directions. While the noodles continue cooking, take out a large deep skillet, pour out the olive oil into the skillet and allow it to become hot over medium-high heat. 

Next, put the cabbage in the skillet alongside seasoning and ½ teaspoon of salt. Ensure you sauté it until it becomes tender for about 8 minutes. After doing this, leave the noodles and cabbage to cook. Then, put the sauce into a small bowl and stir.

Add the maple syrup to the tamari, sriracha, and lime juice, stirring until the combination gets smooth. After cooking the noodles to the desired state, drain well, and put them in the large skillet with the cabbage. 

At this point, pour the sauce, green onions, and carrots, then stir frequently. The stirring makes it get pretty heated up and spreads the sauce evenly. Keep tasting the meal to add whatever seasoning is insufficient. Put the cilantro in immediately after and stir properly. Finally, sprinkle the peanuts in the meal to be crunchy while you serve the food. The delicious taste will surely leave you happy!

Any leftovers should be put in an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator for about four days. Then, before serving, reheat the vegan pad thai in a skillet and place the heat at medium for about 5 minutes. Then, you can serve your vegan pad thai and enjoy it to the brim.
