Strawberry sweetheart fudge

Strawberry fudge, decorated with heart-shaped candy pieces, would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for your significant other, friends, and family!

This recipe uses white chocolate chips and takes less than 20 minutes to make. The final product is a deliciously smooth and creamy fudge bursting with strawberry flavor.

Ingredients Strawberry Fudge

1/2 cup strawberry cake mix

2 cups white chocolate chips

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Happy hearts candy

Instructions Strawberry Fudge

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. Add white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, strawberry cake mix and salt to a medium-sized saucepan and stir to combine. Cook over slow heat, stirring constantly, for about 8 minutes, or until the mixture begins to pull away from the bottom of the pan.
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the strawberry fudge into your prepared baking dish and smooth out with a spatula.
  5. It’s time for the fun part: decorating! Besides regular sprinkles, you can also use heart shaped candies in red, white and pink for a more festive look!
  6. Place the fudge into the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours. Then cut the fudge into 36 1-inch squares.

Extra Tips:

  • Add 2-3 drops of pink food coloring for a brighter pink hue!
  • To get even squares and clean cuts, use a sharp knife – dip it into hot water, dry it off, then cut into your fudge.
  • Have fun mixing flavors! Adding 1/2 cup of chopped almonds or macadamia nuts to the mix would take this fudge to the next level!

You can use a microwave

To make the fudge in a microwave, simply pop everything into an extra large microwavable bowl and heat it at 80% power in 30 second intervals. Stir your mixture in between each blast of the microwave and stop heating it when the mixture looks thick and smooth, about 3 minutes. Ps: make sure you use an extra large bowl for this, as the mixture tends to bubble over!

Store strawberry fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. You can also double wrap it in cling film and freeze it for up to 3 months.
