Valentines Day is on the horizon, which means love is in the air and candy is mandatory. From classic heart-shaped boxes of chocolates to vintage Conversation Hearts, nothing says “I love you” like a sugary treat…

It’s undeniable that this is one of the most popular holidays when people exchange chocolate and other types of candy as gifts. Along the years, candy has become an intrinsic part of Valentine’s Day celebrations.

That’s why we’re listing some of the most iconic Valentine’s Day sweets to add to your cart ahead of the 14th. Whether you share them with your dinner date or mail a bouquet of chocolate roses to someone far away, these romantic candies will definitely get you and your loved ones in the spirit.

Candy Corn Valentines Day

Candy corn is a polarizing candy: you either absolutely love them or you really, really… don’t. Also called ‘Cupid Corn’, the Valentine’s version stands out with vibrant red and pink colors – but tastes exactly the same as the original. Candy corn fans will love these!

Conversation Hearts

Conversation Hearts have been around for more than a century. This classic Valentine’s Day treat was created around the time of the Civil War, when it was known as “cockles”. Many years later, the popular confection with short and sweet candy heart sayings still reigns supreme on Valentine’s Day.

Hershey’s Kisses

Indulgent, delicious and slightly nostalgic, Hershey’s kisses just might be everyone’s favorite Valentine’s Day treat. Surprise your loved ones with this giant version wrapped with red foil. Who wouldn’t love to receive a 7-ounce chocolate kiss? Plus, “kisses” of any kind are very much on-theme.

Chocolate Roses

Roses Info

Love is in the air and you can’t go wrong with chocolates and flowers! Even better: make them edible flowers. Our chocolate roses come in a pack of 12 and are made with rich, melt-in-your-mouth milk chocolate. Nothing says romance quite like long stem red roses, so this is definitely a gift that will make a lasting impression.

Valentine’s Jordan Almonds

Jordan almonds are a classic and elegant treat often found at weddings, showers, bachelorettes and other celebrations. Our Valentine’s Jordan Almonds offer the same characteristic sweet and savory combination with the slightly salty nut and the delicate yet crunchy sugar coating, but with bright pink, red and white shells!

Gummy Red Lips

It is love at first bite. These cherry flavored gummy lips feature a fluffy marshmallow base and are filled with sweet strawberry jelly. Naturally, they are the perfect candy choice for Valentine’s Day and a great addition to  candy buffets and candy bars!

Valentines Day Candy Facts

  • Every day, around 100,000 pounds of conversation hearts are made. That adds up to a whopping eight billion pieces of candy annually.
  • Roughly 58 million pounds of chocolate were bought during Valentine’s Day week last year. Still, Valentine’s Day is not the biggest week of the year for chocolate sales. Easter historically trumps “Love Day” with 71 million pounds of chocolate candy purchased.
  • Cupid corn claims the top spot as the most popular Valentine’s Day candy in Nebraska and West Virginia, and chocolate roses were most popular in Kentucky and Wyoming.
  • Children receive 39 percent of all Valentine’s Day candy and gifts.
  • According to the National Retail Foundation (NRF), Americans spent an estimated $2 billion on Valentine’s Day candy last year.
  • 30 pieces of sweetheart conversation candies add up to a moderate 100 calories.
  • Chocolate really is an aphrodisiac. The delicacy contains two chemicals that fuel sexual desires: tryptophan and phenylethlamine, which the brain releases upon falling in love. While the amounts of these chemicals may be almost negligible, chocolate produces increased amounts of serotonin from endorphin secretions in your brain, which will make you feel good, and probably put you in the right mood…
