Cranberry Ginger Sauce

Cranberry Ginger Sauce. How can there be a Thanksgiving celebration without cranberry sauce? How about we switch it up with some fresh ginger and orange to make it a perfect drink even for loved ones without a sweet tooth? It’s pretty simple to make from scratch, let’s get right to it! 

Ingredients Cranberry Ginger Sauce

  • 12 ounces of cranberries, one bag
  •  ½  cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  •  ¼  cup of water, or extra orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely sliced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of grated orange zest (optional)

Procedure Cranberry Ginger Sauce

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together all the ingredients with a stir. 
  • Allow the mixture to boil by increasing the heat to medium-high.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer the cranberries until they have popped for about 10 minutes, stirring now and again.
  • Now, get rid of the heat. 
  • Finally, before putting the sauce in a jar to chill in the fridge until ready to serve, allow it to cool to room temperature.


This recipe can make your homemade ginger cranberry sauce last as long as 3 months if it is kept in an airtight, freezer-safe container.
