Ingredients Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles

  • Toasted and chopped hazelnuts (240g)
  • Heavy cream (120g)
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips (8 oz)
  • Vanilla extract (2.84g)
  • Sea salt (1.42g)
  • Cocoa powder (60g)

Instructions Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles

Heat the heavy cream over low heat in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer. Put the chocolate chips in the saucepan and stir. Do not stop until the chocolate completely melts and the mixture turns smooth.

Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt. Put out the heat and stir with the toasted hazelnuts in the saucepan. Prepare a mixing bowl and turn in the mixture. Allow cooling to room temperature.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator after covering it. Leave to cool off for at least 1 hour. Allow the mixture to turn firm before removing it from the refrigerator. 

Form the mixture into small balls using a small cookie scoop or spoon. Roll each ball in cocoa powder, making sure to coat everything evenly. Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes or until firm. At this point, you can serve if you wish.
