Chocolate Donuts with Strawberry Glaze – 1 Recipe

Often, people expect the dessert to be even better than the meal itself because it is the final thing they eat before going to bed. This recipe does not have to worry about that because it is nutritious and delicious.

Ingredients Chocolate Donuts

  • Coconut milk (½ c.)
  • Melted coconut oil (2 tbsp.)
  • Mashed banana (1/3 c.)
  • Salt (½ tsp)
  • Baking soda (½ tsp)
  • Baking powder (1 tsp.)
  • Sugar (1/2 c.)
  • Cocoa Powder (1/3 c.)
  • Gluten-free flour (all-purpose) (1 1/2 c.)

For the Strawberry Glaze Chocolate Donuts

  • Finely chopped strawberries (3 tbsp.)
  • Unsweetened coconut milk (1 tbsp.)
  • Powdered sugar (1 1/2 c.)

Heat the oven and spray/rub a donut pan with coconut oil. Place the entire dry ingredients in a mixing bowl of medium size and mix. Putin the coconut milk, coconut oil, and mashed banana and whisk until the batter turns smooth and thick.

Carefully pour the batter into a resealable bag and ensure the corners are snipped. Then, pipe the batter pouring it into the donut pan. Afterward, put the pan in the oven and allow to bake for 8-10 minutes or more (until it is well cooked). Put the donuts in a rack and allow them to cool.

As the donuts bake, make the glaze by whisking all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Ensure the mixture has no powdered sugar lumps and the strawberries are well broken to release their juices to turn the mixture pink. It is okay to leave some small strawberry chunks in the glaze.

Dip the donut top into the glaze after the donuts slightly cool off. You can dip as you deem fit after they cool off and serve. Alternatively, you can keep them in an airtight container for one day.
