Ingredients Butter Pecan Cake

  • Salt (½ teaspoon)
  • Baking soda (½ teaspoon)
  • Baking powder (1 tablespoon)
  • Brown sugar (½ cup)
  • Granulated sugar (1 cup)
  • Cake flour (2 ¼ cups)
  • Chopped pecans (1 ½ cups)
  • Unsalted butter (3 tablespoons)
  • Large eggs (3)
  • Vegetable oil (½ cup)
  • Vanilla (1 teaspoon)
  • Milk (¼ cup)
  • Buttermilk (1 cup)

Method Butter Pecan Cake

Take out 2 8-inch round cake pans and grease before keeping them in one corner. Preheat the oven next to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt butter (3 tablespoons) in a skillet with medium-high heat. Put the pecans and allow them to cook for about 3-4 minutes. The nuts must become fragrant and toasted before you stop cooking the pecans. Remove the pecans from the heat and set them aside to cool off entirely.

Put the salt, baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and flour into a large mixing bowl and whisk properly. Next, put in the eggs, oil, vanilla, milk, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and while using a hand mixer, beat until all are well mixed. Add the toasted pecans and fold.

Evenly separate the batter into the 2 cake pans and put it in the oven. Allow to bake for about 40 minutes and leave to cool off. Using the browned butter cream cheese frosting, frost the cake and use the toasted pecans to decorate.
