Braised Parsnips with Maple Syrup and Pecans. One way to brighten your holiday is to spice it up with braised carrots and brown sugar. Pecans are great in many holiday recipes. This includes pecan pie, braised parsnips with maple syrup, and pecans.

It has a soothing taste because of the natural combination of the pecans with the extraordinary sweetness and freshness of the parsnips pairs.

Ingredients Braised Parsnips with Maple Syrup and Pecans

  • ¼ teaspoon of ground coriander seeds
  • ½ cup of Pecan Halves
  • ½ teaspoon of lightly crushed ground cumin seeds
  • ¼ tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup of maple syrup
  • 2-3 cups of water
  • 8 medium parsnips thoroughly peeled with the ends trimmed and cut in half lengthwise to about 2 pounds

Cooking Procedure Braised Parsnips with Maple Syrup and Pecans

Put the butter into a saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Add the cumin, pecans, and coriander when you notice the butter turning brown and completely melted. Next, stir the pecans carefully and toast them for one minute together with the spices.

Take out the pecans from the pan and ensure you put them separately. Next, place the maple syrup and boil; ensure you reduce the heat so it can simmer and then cook. After 5 minutes of cooking the maple syrup, remove it from the heat and place it separately.
