  • 2-inch slice of chopped ginger
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 whole cardamom
  • 5 small onions
  • 2-inch slice of whole cinnamon

  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 6 leaves of chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 5 long and thinly sliced yellow onions
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • ⅛ tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 handfuls of chopped cilantro
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tsp fennel powder
  • ¾ tsp garam masala

Cook The Basmati Rice

  • 2 cups of basmati rice
  • 2¾ cups of water (to cook in a rice cooker)
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • 3 whole cardamom
  • 1 tbsp of ghee
  • 3 bay leaves

Fry Onion

  • 2 long and thinly sliced yellow onions
  • Oil

Extra Ingredients Beef Biryani

  • 5 leaves of chopped mint
  • 1/4 cup of roasted nuts
  • 2 handfuls of chopped cilantro
  • 1½ tbsp of ghee

Cooking Procedure Beef Biryani

Place the above-listed ingredients in a food processor and grind coarsely without putting water in it. Do not grind to paste and set aside after grinding. Instead, put the basmati rice carefully into the rice cooker and patiently allow it to cook.

Next, put all the ingredients under “To Cook Basmati Rice” above into a rice cooker bowl and cook. Continue cooking until the rice cooker gets too warm, and then take out the rice bowl from the rice cooker and set it aside.

In a case where you are cooking the 2 cups of rice in a saucepan, put 4 cups of water. Allow the rice to cook well until the water is well absorbed. To get an extra delicious taste, fry some balls of fresh onions instead of buying fried onions from a store.

Put enough oil into a frying pan and allow to heat up. Put the onions next and allow to fry well. Do not remove the onions from the pan until the color changes to a golden brown. Take the fried onions from the pan to a plate with a slotted spoon. The plate must be lined with a kitchen paper towel and set aside after adding the fried onions inside. Fry ¼ cup of cashew nuts in ½ tbsp ghee till the color changes to gold (If you intend to use cashew nuts)

How to Make Beef Masala

Put the pressure cooker at medium heat and place the ghee inside until it gets hot. Put in the ground mixture and allow to saute for 5 minutes. Afterward, set in the bay leaves and sliced onions, and season the combination with salt. Ensure the onions becomes translucent after you saute.

Next, put in the tomatoes and allow them to cook for a minute. Put the beef next after it has been perfectly cleaned. A good choice is boneless or boneless stew-cut beef. Finally, mix well with turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, ground cumin, salt, garam masala, and fennel powder.

Put the mint leaves and chopped cilantro next with ½ cup of water and place the lid on the cooker to close it. Properly put the whistle well and allow to cook over medium heat until it gets to 2 whistles or 20 minutes.

Take the cooker out from the heat and allow the pressure from the cooker to reduce ultimately. Leave the lid open, put the pressure cooker on, and set a high temperature. It is to ensure all the gravy in the beef masala is thick.

Be careful not to make the masala excessively dry and allow some gravy to remain in the masala. The basmati rice can absorb the gravy when mixed. Put extra salt and taste. Set the heat low.

Place the cooked basmati rice in the beef masala and set the combination well into the masala. Put in 1 ½ tbsp ghee, then set the combination and garnish it with mint leaves, roasted cashew nuts, fried onions, and chopped cilantro. Mix it all properly and take the pressure cooker away from the heat.

Close the pressure cooker with the lid and ensure the biryani stays closed for about 20 minutes. You can now serve and enjoy your biryani. You can eat it with pickle, raita, and pappadam.
